What is Child Cancer ?

Overall for children and adolescents (ages 0 to 19) in the United States, the most common types of cancers are leukemia, which are cancers of blood or bone marrow cells; brain and central nervous system tumors, including cancers of the spine; and lymphoma, which are cancers of the lymph nodes or glands.
Causes of Child Cancer
Most cancers in children, like those in adults, are thought to develop as a result of mutation in genes that led to uncontrolled cell growth π and eventually cancer .

Types of Child Cancer are:

1 Osteosarcoma( bone cancer)
2 DIPG (a type of brain cancer)
3 Leukemia (blood cancer)
4 Retinoblastoma( Eye cancer)
5 Hepatoblastoma (liver cancer )
How Child Cancer spread?
It begins with genetic change in single cells, that then grow into a mass (or tumour), that invades other parts of the body and causes harm and death if left untreated .
Preventions to control child Cancer are:

1 Inspire healthy eating habits for the entire family. Encourage a diet that is full of fruits and vegetables.
2 Use sunscreen on a daily basis. Protecting skin from the sun will reduce skin cancer risks.
3 Maintain a healthy weight.
4 Avoid cigarette smoke.
